Jim Palmer is a Senior Product Solutions Architect at a major Wi-Fi vendor. His focus is on Wi-Fi and any wireless-centric solutions for the vendor. Jim’s 28-year career spans various technical roles in wireless communications, starting with 7 years in the US Army as a two-way radio specialist. Upon leaving the service he went to work for a large two-way radio reseller in the Technical Services Group, focusing on custom products, national repair depot lead tech, and installation of radio hardware. Prior to moving to the dark side as a vendor, he was a Network Engineer at a major international airport specializing in all things wireless for over a decade.
He is a Certified Wireless Networking Expert (CWNE) #304, Ekahau Design #101, Ekahau Troubleshooting #9, Ekahau Master #31. He also holds a Commercial Radio License and a General Class Amateur Radio License from the US FCC.
